Ultimate frisbee!

The Autobots annihilated the Deceptacons last Tuesday.  Good thing too, because if they hadn’t, we wouldn’t have been able to play a rousing game of frisbee since the entire planet would be no more. 

Following Kirk’s lead, here are some of the notable events:

• Trevor slipped in the mud
• Derek had to leave early to go make invitations for his wedding
• Luke Watson jammed Tyler’s finger with a vicious, but very effective, swat
• Kirk pulled a muscle, but stayed productive by taking pictures instead of just leaving like Tyler did.

All in all, it was a fabulous day full of frisbee fun.  Twelve people showed up including my cousin Ryan, who is very fast, especially in his paintball shoes.  We did miss Buzz however; but because he and Brandon Roy went to the Blazers’ game instead of playing frisbee, the Blazers beat the Lakers.  Thank you Buzz and Brandon.

So last week we had 22 winners! because everyone who comes is a winner. Really we had 11 winners, but that was only half the people. Either way if you take the radius of the field to the square root of the frisbee weight in grams, it will always equal action! It all ends in action on this field.

• Trevor attempted unprecedented jersey color team split (poor results) hahaha j/k

Lots o good momentum. Lets see how this all goes down tonight. I did wet my pants a little because I’m really excited, but I’ll change and see ya’ll soon!

As grand as Trevors senile version of its genesis is, this is my plainer version.

I lived next door, and wanted to play frisbee, so I called everyone, and put up posters at the coffee shop around the neighborhood, and apartments. Some people passed by and joined too. Either way, its dope that Trevor has held it together all this time.

Oh.. and a bit of history. The original website

One day Kirk Strobeck and Trevor Combs had a dream to organize an everlasting ultimate frisbee competition designed to bring happiness and tranquility to the masses (tuesdays behind Lake Bible Church).  Kirk created the website to support this dream and Trevor will continue to be silly.

When I was just a little boy, I became intrigued by a plastic lid that I found in our kitchen.  As any curious youngster, my imagination ran wild - it could be an alien spaceship, or a robot that would vacuum our floors, or a flying disc that people of all walks of life could throw to teammates in a fun filled game called ULTIMATE!!  As I grew, so did my passion for throwing 175 gram discs, inspite of the government’s anit-ultimate movement.  I was arrested at age 9 for my involvement in an underground ultimate frisbee league, and by age 14, I was growing frisbees in my backyard and selling them just to survive between frisbee tournaments.  When the landlord caught wind of what I was doing, I was forced to live on the streets where I rallied all the hobos, vagrants, drifters, beggars, and vagabonds together.  We stood up to the tyranicaly government, and though we lost many lives that day, we were victorious and forced a change that would alter history forever. Now, on April 1st, 2008, we shall begin a journey together - a journey full of fun and excitement where dreams come true and heroes are made.   This is not an April Fools joke - we will band together and live out our passion for ULTIMATE FRISBEE!!  ARE YOU WITH ME?!?!?!
